it measures 2m(79 inches) from rings to tail. If you are marginal, measure the loop from shoulder to waist see if it will fit you.
If you want to adapt it to fit a bigger person, simply trim certain length of threads off on the closed tail to open up several inches.
We also have some Large size selections, see extra large category in the left .
Hard to adjust?
Lite-on-Shoulder slings are made of single layered soft cotton fabric, and smaller rings provide more security, and at the same time, less wiggling space for adjustment.
It's normal and the padding helps the rings buckle tight.
New fabrics might be a little stiff. After washing or pulled thru the ring buckle several times the tail will be able to go through smoothly.
Can't adjust the sling tight enough?
If you wear woman's dress size 8 or smaller, it's likely that lightly padded rail part will pull thru the rings when tighten up.
Make sure baby is fed, diaper is dry.
Try a different position. Some babies don't like the cradled , try tummy to tummy , or hip carrying.
Be confident. often new parents found babies are more content and relaxed in grandparents´ arms, so trust in yourself you can do it.
DON´T let baby´s chin is pressed against his or her chest, this may restrict airflow and cause suffocation. Check to ensure that baby´s face is not covered and baby is breathing regularly at all times.
If your baby is still fussy, get moving! nothing else works better than rocking motions and cuddling!
Saddle carry position is the ultimate slip proof position for squirmy babies. Only use it for older baby that can sit.
If you are carrying your baby below your waist line, it´s likely that you will develop back pain over time. so be sure to put your baby above waist line no matter what carrying position you use.
Don´t let the railing padding stop you from adjusting the loop. This is a adjustable sling with infinite adjustability. The paddings are thin and can go through the the rings, tightening the loop to the perfect snugness for you.
Another way to ensure comfortable carrying is to spead the fabric out on should and the back, to distribute the load onto the torso.
Shoulder pad should stay on the shoulder, do not bunch it at the crook of your neck.
Make sure the fabric is not twisted.non-twisted tail fabric have braid like folding creases towards the outside.
Size "M" tag?

The rings are made of zinc alloy which has a strength limit beyond human weight , but they do get deformed under mechanical impact such as snapped in the car door.
Why are some open tail slings more expensive?
Prices vary depending on the cost of the fabrics. Open tail slings are made from reversible fabrics that won't show a "wrong side" and brocade fabrics can cost double or triple the price of cotton sateen.

Definitely wash it as often as needed .
Avoid steam clean or high heat drying .
Fold the sling up and place it in a laundry bag is recommended when machine cleaned.

Darker color cotton normally fades color during first several washings,so be sure to separate it from whites and some salt can help to stabilize the color dye and reduce fading.
